With an abundance of vacation time and the year coming quickly to a close, we needed to use our days! We had planned a trip to Maine, specifically Acadia National Park, a few months back, but the trip sadly fell apart. We decided to brave the cold weather and head to Maine over Thanksgiving week. One of us braved the cold a little more than the other (crazy surfer D).
I know the Christmas season isn't supposed to be about gifts, but I LOVE giving them! It makes me smile seeing someone open up a gift they love! Quality over quanity eh? (And I REALLY love wrapping them! Anyone want to hire a seasonal wrapper? I'll do it for hot cocoa, candy canes and a DVD of Christmas with the Kranks!) But anyway, there are a few of my favorite gift ideas this year! All of these goodies are under $20 which makes them even better!
Inspire Light Candle: $18 (A portion of their profits go to charity too!)
Are you a gift giver or do you like to skip gifts? I know many folks who go both ways! Like my Fiance being a skipper and me being a giver!) Share in the comments!
The evening before the Super Moon, we went for a little stroll on the beach. Luckily, I brought my camera along, as the sky was beautiful! The water had a pearl sheen from the reflection of the sky. These photos just don't do the view justice! I'm thinking of getting at least one printed + framed. (Ya' kno' for the house we don't have yet!) Enjoy!

One year ago I posted this fun post and it quickly became one of my most pinned posts. This is one of the easiest ways to add some Thanksgiving decor and it'll keep your money on the side for Christmas! By the way, what is the standard practice with Christmas decor and Thanksgiving? Do you keep your fall decor out or do you bring your Christmas decor into the mix?? Let me know because I am at a loss.
What you need:
six bottles
acrylic paint
corn husks
{one} Remove the labels from your bottles. You can do this easily by submerging the bottles into a mixture of warm water and baking soda. Let the bottles sit in there for about a half hour and the labels will peel right off! Just use a sponge and some soap to scrub off any remaining glue.
{two} Paint up your bottles. It tends to take me a few coats to get them completely opaque. Add one the wording to your newly painted bottles...
{three} Stuff in your corn husks!!
Voila!
