This past weekend I was lucky enough to snag a trip to Northern California. And what can I say but wow!
We started our first day out and about in San Francisco and headed to Off the Grid Picnic. We normally go against the grain when it comes to tourist attractions so this was right up our alley We had a great time sitting in the grass having a beer, enjoying the view and families AND having some fish tacos. (It was fish taco week.)
We then headed to the city to checkout some sea lions at Fisherman's Warf and our course to climb some hills! We actually were stopped for directions twice as apparently we looked like natives! We then stopped for another round of fish tacos and then another. Don't judge.
But the best part of the Redwoods was pulling over on the side of the road to go dippin'! The most beautiful clear river was running on the side of the road and we couldn't resist the cool water complete with mini rapids!
If only I could go back again this weekend... and yep! I was brave enough to cross over these logs to get to the beautiful beach...
